Nikola Mojsl

Nikola Mojsl makes elaborated human and animal figures of steel and other metals. The sculptures are stuck together from multiple tiny pieces and sheets he carefully cuts, singes, and shapes to represent body curves and dynamics as realistically as possible. His works seem to march through the space. Nikola builds his sculptures from scratch: he casts and lathes all the steel sheets, balls, and rods by himself.
He’s inherited this skill from past family generations. A strong background in metallurgy allows him to experiment with iron, steel, and aluminium. Mojsl was a student of Michal Gabriel, whose works are available in Flera Gallery, too. His garden sculptures will never bore you or go out of fashion. They’ll stir up your imagination and spark many conversations with your guests.
