Michal Gabriel’s Player in a Private Garden

Small-garden owners often resist growing large trees or shrubs. As a result, their space lacks proper dynamics. But not in this garden. To screen it out and add some texture to it, we planted tall bamboo trees and grasses. Thanks to a glass railing, the plants visually blend with the vegetation of the public park nearby. Close to the property borders and the park stands a huge statue by Michal Gabriel: The Player. It proves that even the tiniest of gardens will fit an expressive outdoor sculpture. All you need to do is to find a good spot for it.

Surprisingly enough, The Player is not the only artwork in this garden. Peek into lush perennials and you’ll find a minimalist water feature by Michal Trpak. As one of our favourite artists, his works are placed in many gardens we design.
